The Challenge
Ashley Furniture needed a unified, intuitive internal communications platform for its manufacturing arm — one that could scale across continents, connect manufacturing with business partners, and increase communications.

In short, communication silos were eating into business profits and partnerships.

The Solution
I developed two branded intranet sites (one for B2B, one for B2C), both on SharePoint. Key steps included:

  • Information-architecture audit + wireframes + prototypes to ensure content was organized and usable for each audience

  • A UX/UI design that maintains brand consistency, regardless of division or geography

  • Integration of launch campaign collateral — emails, window clings, table tents, swag, cash prize incentives — to promote the new intranet and accelerate adoption

Connecting Business Partners, Driving Results

Strategic, on-brand communication
Working with teams in the US and India, we built two intranet branches on one SharePoint platform—streamlining communication and supporting business goals.

Design that drives adoption
Through wireframes, prototypes, and a full information-architecture audit, we created a system that was practical, scalable, and easy to navigate. The final UI delivered a consistent, on-brand experience across both B2B and B2C divisions—helping employees connect, collaborate, and stay aligned.

Creating a Buzz

As part of the rollout plan to assist with employee use and adoption, a marketing campaign consisting of drip emails, window clings, branded swag, and a cash contest was developed. This had the positive effect of increases site use, which in turn led to faster dissemination and alignment across company branches.
